Maker Monday Sessions.
Make. Share. Learn. Play. Discover. Support. Create.
Our Maker Monday sessions are designed for children to encourage innovation, creativity, learning and discovery. In the spring and fall we offer monthly sessions covering a variety of subjects such as photography, STEM, arts, crafts and more.
Each month we focus on a different theme and work together to complete a challenge related to the topic. April’s topic was: Stop Motion Movies. We looked at the process of film making; from the conception, scripts, storyboards, set and prop design to the filming and editing. June’s topic was: Photography. Marilyn led a group of talented children in an exploration of various techniques using an iPhone or tablet camera. The photos are on display on the “Teen Bulletin Board”.
Registration is required for these sessions.
We take a break over the summer months of July and August and will start up again in the fall.
(We recommend these sessions for children aged 8 and up.)
